Borseth on return: ‘I love it here. … I love my life.’

Just in time for this day celebrating romantic love, the Green Bay Press-Gazette brings us a column about another kind of affection — the affinity Phoenix women’s hoops coach Kevin Borseth has for UW-Green Bay and the larger community. Sports editor Mike Vandermause talked to Borseth about his decision to return to the Phoenix after five seasons at Michigan, with the now-new-again coach talking priorities and pluses of his return heading into tonight’s game against Cleveland State. Borseth had kudos for the UW-Green Bay fan base, noting that, “We’re all in this thing together and I don’t know that I felt that same hominess at Ann Arbor (Mich.). It didn’t feel like it was the same.” The Phoenix coach has no regrets about his time with the Wolverines, he notes — but he’s glad he’s back in Green Bay. “I’m in a great place, I really am, an absolute great place,” he told Vandermause. “I love it here. I like the people. I love my life.” Full column.
