The UW System Institute on Race and Ethnicity has awarded a Campus Reading Seminar Grant to E. Nicole Meyer for the autobiographical books: The Lover by Marguerite Duras, and The Abandoned Baobab: The Autobiography of a Senegalese Woman by Ken Bugul. The grants support reading groups and scholarly exchanges by making funds available for the purchase of books that focus on racial/ethnic themes. Participants in the seminars may include faculty members, academic and classified staff, students and people from the community. Look for more details in the near future.
