Hatfield heads to Notre Dame; Pinkston to take over in Facilities Management

Chris Hatfield, UW-Green Bay’s director of Facilities Management and Planning since March 2006, is leaving UW-Green Bay for a position at the University of Notre Dame, his alma mater.

Campus planner Paul Pinkston will step in as interim director of Facilities Management and Planning.

Hatfield’s last day on campus will be Wednesday, Jan. 14. He is returning to Notre Dame, where he received a bachelor’s degree in government, to become associate director for building services. At UW-Green Bay, Hatfield has been a leader in the University’s sustainability and energy-efficiency efforts.

Pinkston is a graduate of UW-Green Bay in Urban and Regional Studies. He first joined the Facilities Management and Planning staff in 1989 and assumed his current position in 2001. He received the Founders Award for Excellence in Academic Support in 2008.

A farewell reception for Chris Hatfield will be held in the Rose Hall second floor lobby area from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14. Cake and punch will be served.
