Kaye’s ‘Four Freedoms’ book makes Nation’s 2014 ‘Progressive Honor Roll’

Congratulations to UW-Green Bay Professor of Democracy and Justice Studies Harvey J. Kaye on a big 2014 which saw national attention for his book, The Fight for the Four Freedoms: What Made FDR and the Greatest Generation Truly Great. The year ended with news he’d made the “Progressive Honor Roll” compiled by The Nation magazine. Right there — alongside names including Elizabeth Warren, Patrick Leahy, Thom Hartmann and National Nurses United — was Harvey Kaye’s The Fight for the Four Freedoms, under the heading “Most Valuable History.” Wrote editor John Nichols, echoing the book’s call that America be made more free, more equal and more democratic, “… Kaye’s book provides an inspired reminder: we have done it before. We need to do it again.” Read more.
