New comedy ‘Dreaming of Forests’ to be read Dec. 7

As part of the programming for the campus Common Theme, “Realizing our Sustainable Future,” the University Theatre will present a staged reading of a new comedy/drama by Indiana playwright Doug Bedwell, ‘Dreaming of Forests.’ We’ll have more in our next issue, but plan to attend on Monday, Dec. 7, in the University Theatre. Admission to the 3:30 p.m. show is free and open to the public.  The plot concerns an ad man with a dilemma: his job requires him to create an ad campaign in support of “rededicating” national forest land for a power plant while his artist friend passionately campaigns against the legislation. More to come.
