The annual UW-Green Bay celebration of Kwanzaa is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Phoenix Room of the University Union. Kwanzaa is an African-American celebration based on the tradition of the African harvest festival, which emphasizes community and cultural pride.
