Chancellor’s Veterans Reception set for Nov. 9

It’s not too soon to mark your calendars for the annual and well-received Chancellor’s Veterans Reception at UW-Green Bay, set this year for 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in the Phoenix Room of the University Union. This year’s guest speaker will be Jeremy Wildenberg, a 14-year military veteran, UW-Green Bay graduate student and language instructor. There will be refreshments, music and a short formal program. All veterans and service members on campus and in the community are invited to attend. We’ll have full details closer to the date.

Veterans Book Project… and ‘care package’ donations
Elaina Koltz, veterans coordinator for UW-Green Bay, shares word that the Nov. 9 campus reception will also include a display from the Veterans Book Project, along with our own UW-Green Bay student military scrapbooks and photo albums that will be shared. They will again be looking for items to be donated for veteran “care packages” and will have a raffle this year to benefit the purchase of the veteran books.
