Riddle, Emmons host interdisciplinary talk on creative Theatre production

Professor and Theatre director Laura Riddle invites one and all to a brief, informative preshow talk on Friday, Oct. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in Studio One of the Weidner Center, across the hall from the Jean Weidner Theatre. Joining her to introduce you to the world of the play bobrauschenbergamerica will be Prof. Carol Emmons of the UW Green Bay Art program. The preshow talk is free of charge and you are welcome to attend even if you do not have tickets for the play. The play itself was selected in the spirit of this year’s campus common theme, “Creativity, Innovation and Vision.” The piece draws inspiration from Robert Rauschenberg, a visionary American artist, who created three-dimensional “combines” using imagery of Americana in the second half of the 20th century. In the style of Robert Rauschenberg’s art, the play is structured as a “theatrical combine… a postmodern variety show.”
