Lawton Gallery: ‘Come feel a book!’

That’s the invitation extended by the Lawton Gallery as it prepares for the opening reception Thursday (Oct. 11) for “How to Read a Book: An Artists’ Books Reading Room.” This latest show opens with a reception at 4:30 p.m. and curator’s talk at 5 p.m. Artists’ books are works of art in which artists use the medium of the book to create the artwork.  The exhibit showcases over 200 books that span the many different types that make up this unique artistic genre.
