More than 250 expected for Fall Conference

Hundreds of area educators and education students are registered for the Institute for Learning Partnership’s 11th annual Fall Conference this Thursday and Friday (Oct. 8 and 9) on campus. The Institute expects at least 250 in attendance for the Thursday evening keynote address by Ellin Keene, and about 200 educators will take part in Friday’s workshop in the University Union. The conference theme is “Closing the Achievement Gap through Literacy Leadership.” Thursday evening’s keynote, “Literacy Comprehension and the Development of the Intellect,” is free and the public is invited to attend.
