‘Speak for Peace: US Veterans and Iraqis’
That’s the title of a free program at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 10) in Room 206, Mary Ann Cofrin Hall. The program is sponsored by the Fox Valley Society of Friends (the local chapter of the spiritual movement known as Quakerism.) Organizers tell us the speakers will be Raed Jarrar, a Baghdad citizen who is currently working as an Iraqi political analyst for the American Friends Service Committee, and Eugene Cherry, a U.S. veteran of the second Persian Gulf War. Carol Crawford [firstname.lastname@example.org) is the Friends person handling publicity.
