Program for Tuesday’s Jazz Concert

The UW-Green Bay Music program hosts its spring jazz concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, (May 5) in the University Theatre. The Jazz I Ensemble will perform “Quartet #2” by Chick Corea; “Cute” by Neal Hefty; “Disposable Income” by Robert Lewis; “In My Life” by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; and “Bill Bailey” arranged by Tom Kubis. The Jazz II Ensemble will feature “Moten Swing” by Buster Moten and Bennie Moten; “The Way We Were” by Marvin Hamlisch; “Concerto for Cootie” by Duke Ellington; and “Samba Nautica” by Toshio Mashima. The Vocal Jazz Enemble has several selections on the music stands, including “Bullet Train,” “Blumen,” “Monday, Monday,” “The Girl From Ipanema,” “I’ll Be Seeing You” and “Do You Wanna Know What I Want.” The Jazz Combo that opens the concert will feature “Society Red” by Dexter Gordon and “She’s Glitter” by Andy Baldwin. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
