We told you here earlier about the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) State Solo & Ensemble Festival, which UW-Green Bay will host here Saturday. This daylong event welcomes talented middle and high school musicians, along with their families, for competition, camaraderie and fun. Associate Prof. Kevin Collins, Festival Manager for UW-Green Bay, tells us there will be some fun surprises in store, including promotions, photo opps and more. The social media-savvy Collins also is encouraging participants to tweet ratings pictures, Vines and the like using the hashtag #gbsoloensemble. Don’t forget, Saturday’s festival is free and open to the public. For more details, visit www.wsmamusic.org/festivals/state/greenbay.html or check out our press release.
