Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston’s Opera and Musical Theatre students will offer a series of special performances next week, presenting “The Three Little Pigs” as their audiences — and indeed most adults — have never seen it. This adapted 35-minute opera/musical is aimed at kids in grades K-3, and is designed to introduce young children to the power of live performance, Meredith Livingston said. Two of the group’s three performances — at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 and Friday, April 25 — are open to the public, although the April 22 show is filling up fast because of a Boys & Girls club group that plans to attend. The performances, which will be held in the Weidner Center’s Jean Weidner Theatre, are free, and UW-Green Bay faculty and staff with young kids are particularly encouraged to attend. A third performance, at Wequiock Elementary School, is not open to the public. Our news release has additional details.
