Slideshow: Students showcase research for legislators, VIPs at ‘Posters’
Seven UW-Green Bay students shared their innovative work with state legislators, UW System representatives and one another this week during the ninth annual Posters in the Rotunda undergraduate research event at the state Capitol in Madison. The large-scale showcase draws students from across the UW System to display posters that summarize countless hours of hard work, number crunching and data analysis. This year’s UW-Green Bay researchers presented projects on topics from Green Bay Packers’ home-game recycling to invasive species work and a two-year fish assemblage study of the Wequiock Creek Estuary. It was an impressive display that piqued the interest of several state legislators from Northeastern Wisconsin, who talked one-on-one with the students about their work.
