The UW-Green Bay music program will present a faculty horn recital Sunday, March 6, featuring Prof. Michelle McQuade Dewhirst. The free recital will be at 4 p.m. in the Weidner’s Fort Howard Hall. The recital will feature three pieces written by McQuade Dewhirst as well as works by Olivier Messiaen and Mark Schultz. “This recital gives me an opportunity to share two musical passions: contemporary solo literature for the horn and my original compositions,” McQuade Dewhirst said. McQuade Dewhirst will be joined by fellow professors Eric Hansen, clarinet; David Severtson, piano; and special guests Michael Dewhirst, cello; and Michael Hall, viola. More on the program.
