Clarinetist Hansen to present public, no-cost faculty recital Feb. 1

UW-Green Bay Associate Prof. Eric Hansen will deliver a faculty clarinet recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 in Fort Howard Hall at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. Hansen, UW-Green Bay’s clarinet instructor, will begin his performance with Willson Osborne’s “Rhapsody for Solo Clarinet” and Eric P. Mandat’s “Sub(t)rainS O’Strata’s fearS.” He will also perform “Violoncello Suite I” by Johann Sebastian Bach, prior to a brief intermission. In the second half of the program, Hansen will play Russell Riepe’s “Three Studies on Flight” and Heinrich Sutermeister’s “Capriccio for Solo Clarinet” before concluding with Steve Reich’s “New York Counterpoint.” Read more.
