Story, photos: Big turnout for King during celebration
Hundreds of community members turned out Saturday (Jan. 18) for the 19th annual Brown County Community Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday. Held at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and co-sponsored and coordinated in conjunction with UW-Green Bay, St. Norbert College and others, this annual event features multicultural music, meaningful reflections, K-12 poster and essay awards and more. This year’s theme was “A Vision for Peace,” and students from throughout Brown County shared their interpretation of the vision, and of King’s dream.
