Undergraduates (all campuses) can now apply for the Sager Scholarship
Thanks to the generosity of emeriti faculty Paul and Thea Sager, UW-Green Bay science undergraduates have an opportunity to compete for a $1,100 scholarship recognizing outstanding scientific research from a classroom or extracurricular academic project. Eligible students must 1) be enrolled as an undergraduate at UW-Green Bay (including branch campuses) seeking a degree in the natural sciences, engineering, or technology; 2) have a minimum 2.75 grade point average; and 3) present a poster at the April 26th symposium. Abstracts for the presentation must be submitted by March 1, 2019. Nominees should have been part of a classroom research exercise, an independent study project, an internship, or related activity. Submissions will be presented and judged at the 18th Annual UW System Symposium for Undergraduate Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activity at UW-Green Bay on Friday, April 26, 2019. Although students from other UW institutions will be participating in symposium, only UW-Green Bay undergraduate students (from any of the four campuses) will be eligible for the Sager Award. Please contact Dr. Robert Howe (hower@uwgb.edu) or Cofrin Center for Biodiversity staff (biodiversity@uwgb.edu) if you have questions about the award and application process.
