Erik Aleson named Interim Chief Facilities Officer

A message from Sheryl Van Gruensven, Chief Business Officer/Senior Vice Chancellor for Institutional Strategy:

I am sure you have all heard by now that Joe Harvey’s last day at UW-Green Bay was on Friday.  Joe accepted a position as vice president and co-owner for a construction company he worked for previously.  His short time here was unexpected for all of us and I know he enjoyed his time working with you and had very positive comments about the dedicated staff in the division.

With Joe’s departure and effective immediately, I have asked Erik Aleson to step into the role as Interim Chief Facilities Officer to provide leadership for the division until a permanent leader is appointed.  You all know Erik very well and I know he is respected as a trusted leader throughout the Facilities Planning and Management division and across campus.  Please thank Erik for assuming this important role when you have a chance and I am confident he will do an excellent job for you and the campus community.

Once I have more information to share about next steps for identifying a permanent leader, I will communicate that to you as soon as possible.  As always, please let me know if you have any questions and have a good rest of your week.
