A holiday parade, a UWGB float and help wanted

UW-Green Bay will be represented in the Green Bay Holiday Parade on Saturday, Nov. 17! There’s a great float idea based on the parade’s theme, “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Explains alumni director Kari Moody, one of the organizers, “We just changed, ‘a Partridge in a Pear Tree’ to ‘a Phoenix in a Shoe Tree’ and plan to highlight a dozen different aspects of campus.” Volunteers are needed to help build the float! Float building will take place in the Scene Shop, Theatre Hall Room 111, from noon to 2 p.m. the week of Nov. 12 (with the exception of Wednesday because of the Brand Launch Celebration). Please let us know if you want to help by emailing Tina Tackmier at tackmiet@uwgb.edu

P.S. — Candy throwers needed, too: The UW-Green Bay holiday float also needs volunteers on parade day to help in handing out goodies to the kids. If you want to be part of the parade crew, email Tina at tackmiet@uwgb.edu. All they ask is you wear UW-Green Bay gear to represent the University during the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to noon on the 17th.
