Even honor students can be challenged by the transition from high school to college. “Finding Their Way: Mapping the Route to Higher Learning for Novice College Students” is a workshop that will offer information and strategies that faculty can use to help ease that transition. Karen Desotelle, director of Student Education Services at Marquette University, will examine some of the problems facing students and offer concrete strategies and resources for addressing these issues. The workshop will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday (Oct. 16) in Alumni AB of the University Union, presented by CATL — UW-Green Bay’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning.
