Details on Sunday’s ‘Color Run’ and parking lot closing

The Color Run returns to campus this Sunday (Oct. 5) at 10 a.m. with 6,600 participants already pre-registered. On-site registration and packet pickup will be available all day Saturday and between 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday.  Load-in will begin on Friday afternoon with some supplies being dropped off at the Weidner Center and the Studio Arts Parking Lot. The Studio Arts lot will officially close for the weekend at 5 p.m. Friday and reopen after the Festival grounds are cleared on Sunday afternoon. To avoid tickets or towing, students and staff are being asked to find alternate parking for the weekend. The run will loop through the entire campus and many roadways and all the parking lots will effected. The event is expected to generate at least $5,000 for student scholarships, and 10 student organizations and athletic teams will each receive $1,000 for volunteering to help staff the event.
