Need regalia? Yours for the asking, but better ask soon

Between the formal installation of the Chancellor in November and UW-Green Bay mid-year commencement in December, the pageantry of traditional academic ceremony will be much in evidence. Here’s a special notice to faculty and staff who don’t own their own regalia but anticipate participating in the formal ceremonies: The University, through the Phoenix Bookstore, is making available — at no-charge — complimentary use of ‘rented’ regalia for these back-to-back ceremonies. You’ll receive the items by early November and won’t need to return until after commencement, if you reserve for both events. There’s only one catch: the bookstore’s Susan Machuca tells us you’ll need to act by Friday, Oct. 10, (only two weeks out, as of this writing) to reserve your cap, gown, hood, etc. Reservations can be made online or at the Phoenix Bookstore.
