A thank-you from Okons

The following has been received from the family of UW-Green Bay student Joshua Okon of Mayville, who died last month on campus at the age of 21:

“The family of Joshua Okon would like to thank the staff and students involved in organizing his memorial service on September 9th. It was beautifully arranged with flowers, music, and the kind words expressed by those who spoke. We know this service was not just for his family, but also for those who knew Josh in the area. However, it was a blessing for us to be able to meet some of the school faculty, his coworkers, and college friends as they shared with us their memories of him. The Posthumous Recognition Award, signed UWGB flag, picture board, and book of memory note-cards of Josh, will be treasured always. We would also like to express our appreciation for the beautiful plant and flower basket from the group of UWGB students, the cards, monetary gifts, letters, and the prayers for our family during this difficult time. We miss Josh deeply and it is comforting to know that there are many who care.”
