Day of Service volunteer opportunities are still available

All UW-Green Bay students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in the UW-Green Bay Day of Service on Friday Oct. 7, 2022, with the freedom to volunteer up to four hours of community service during work hours as approved.

Sheboygan, Manitowoc, and Marinette campuses will have volunteer opportunities in those communities. Watch for e-mails from your assistant dean of students.

In the Green Bay community, student engagement has a number of service opportunities, both on-and off-campus, listed at, the University’s volunteer database. Among the opportunities—general projects at St. John’s Homeless Shelter, fall clean-up at Forest to Brook Enrichment Education Services, making toys for the Humane Society, sort and package bulk food or help shoppers at Paul’s Pantry and more. You can also lead your own service activity!

T-shirts will be given to new participants who register and serve this year. (If you have your shirt from last year, we ask that you wear that when you serve this year.)

Not able to volunteer for Day of Service or would like another volunteer opportunity? Check out the Rake Up Green Bay option at Dates for service range from October 17 – November 11. Create a small team and be matched with a homeowner in need, with help from the Volunteer Center of Brown County.
