Baird Creek group gets more plugs from Diboll ’78; needs volunteers

The Baird Creek Preservation Foundation is inviting the public to assist in planting thousands of plant plugs, donated by Prairie Nursery, Inc., and its founder and president, Neil Diboll, UW-Green Bay class of 1978. The plant-in is scheduled for 9 a.m. this Saturday (Sept. 22) off McKenzie Lane near the parkway.  There’s an additional UW-Green Bay connection: Many of the plugs were re-potted and spent at least part of the dry, hot summer in the University greenhouse, awaiting just the right time for transplanting. If you can bring your own gardening tools it would be much appreciated. More info.
