A collection of paintings by UW-Green Bay alumni artist Beau Thomas ’16 (Art and Design), WORDPLAY, focuses on universal phrases and their potential in storytelling and expressing ideas. Sayings like “Under the Sea” and “Those were the Days” hold great potential for story telling and expressing ideas. The series reaches across many concepts and themes including humor, grief, politics, history, nostalgia, pop culture and beyond. WORDPLAY combines the universal and the specific, in a playful exploration of life itself. The exhibit opens at The Art Garage, today, Sept. 6, 2019, 1400 Cedar Street, Green Bay. Free admission. Thomas is the creator of UW-Green Bay’s mural on the exterior of Studio Arts.
