New from A’viands: Grains & Greens launching fall 2013

A new dining concept is coming to the Marketplace inside the Union’s Leona Cloud Commons. “Grains & Greens” will feature an assortment of made-to-order gourmet sandwiches and weekly salads. Some of the sandwich options include: The Flaming Phoenix, a sandwich of Cajun chicken breast, romaine lettuce, Roma tomatoes, spinach and pepper jack cheese with creamy parmesan dressing; The Kiki, smoked turkey breast, brie, apples, Boston lettuce and tomato with cranberry mayo; and Chef Fazli’s Mango chicken wrap, a lettuce wrap stuffed with fresh jicama, mango and zesty marinated turkey breast. All sandwiches are served on a choice of naan bread, pita bread, ciabatta or whole wheat wrap. Gluten-free bread options are also available. Grains & Greens will be replacing the Green Leaf location inside the Marketplace. However, the new concept will incorporate the popular salad options featured at the Green Leaf location. Salad options will change on a weekly basis.
