Funds available for innovative ideas

The Ideadvance Seed Fund welcomes applications for the upcoming September 2016 cohort.  Stages 1 and 2 proposals are due by 5 p.m., July 29. This will be the last application deadline scheduled for 2016! The Ideadvance program combines grant funding with business mentoring to support development of innovative ideas and potential, scalable businesses from UW System faculty, staff and student entrepreneurs. Ideas are encouraged from all disciplines. Those with early stage ideas can earn up to $25,000 by exploring and validating key business model assumptions.  For companies that have already validated key business metrics, a competitive $50,000 grant is available through the Ideadvance Stage 2 program.  Contact the program manager, Idella Yamben (idella.yamben@uwex.edu), today to discuss your idea and evaluate which grant opportunity is best for you.  Visit the Ideadvance website to view guidelines for Stages 1 and 2 grants: http://www.uwideadvance.org. Eligibility: Current non-UW-Madison faculty, staff or students.
