UW-Green Bay’s Democracy and Justice Studies was one of 24 from 134 proposals selected to receive a grant to spur civic learning majors. AAC&U argues that higher education plays a critical role in education for democracy. The grant from The Endeavor Foundation supports an AAC&U Signature Initiative, Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement. AAC&U has argued that the health of our diverse democracy depends on higher education doing its full part in preparing students to be thoughtful, open-minded, informed and responsible citizens and workers in their home communities, nation and the world.
