Reminder: CATL offering 10 grants for advanced Online Teaching

Just a friendly reminder that The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning is offering 10 $2,000 grants faculty and full-time instructors to take part in a program to discuss online teaching and course development during Summer 2013. The program will foster a lively, interdisciplinary dialogue about best practices in online teaching and prepare and support instructors to submit an online course for Quality Matters recognition. It is intended for instructors who have already taught online and are interested in having their course Quality Matters-recognized. Applicants should send a letter with the following information:
· Your experience teaching online

· The online course that you would like to revise and submit for review (must have been taught at least twice online prior to the start of Fall Semester)

· Evidence of your teaching excellence and interest in online education

· A commitment to participate in all required elements of the program including attendance at all four face-to-face sessions as scheduled below:

o June 18, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

o June 20, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

o June 25, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

o June 27, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
