Wednesday: Green Bay Film Society’s screening recalls Civil War era
On Wednesday (May 4), in conjunction with the Neville Public Museum’s exhibition “Badger Boys: Northeast Wisconsin and the Civil War,” the Green Bay Film Society will be showing a selection of short films by the early American filmmaker D.W. Griffith, dealing with the antebellum south. Prof. J. Vincent Lowery, (Humanistic Studies/History) will introduce the screening and lead a discussion afterward. The film starts at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Neville Museum and is free and open to the public. Sponsors of the International Film Series include the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, the Neville Public Museum, and the Brown County Library.
