IT has enabled self-service password reset tool… here’s what it means for you.
The Division of Information Technology has enabled the Microsoft’s Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) Tool for students and staff, and you can now reset your forgotten or expired password whenever you want—all without contacting the Help Desk! The SSPR Tool requires you to setup verification methods, such as a mobile phone number or alternate email address, prior to first use. Detailed instructions for entering your verification methods are included in this knowledge base article: Microsoft SSPR – Authentication Methods.
These methods will be used to securely authenticate yourself and give you access to reset your forgotten or expired password.
