Reminder: Application deadline May 2 for UWGB Teaching Scholars (2014-15)

The UWGB Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) is pleased to offer you an opportunity to share your teaching expertise and further develop your craft. Please consider applying to be a UWGB Teaching Scholar for the 2014-2015 academic year. Being a Teaching Scholar is both an honor — a recognition of excellent teaching — and a means of professional development. Co-directed by David Voelker (Humanistic Studies/History) and Ryan Martin (Human Development/Psychology), the program offers opportunities to discuss teaching with colleagues, develop new teaching strategies, read materials about teaching and learning, and assess a learning goal through a scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) project. Up to seven faculty members and instructors will be selected, and each will receive a $1,000.00 stipend. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to design their SoTL project in the Fall, for implementation in the Spring 2015 semester. (Note: Bellin College will also likely be funding one additional Teaching Scholar.) To apply for this professional development opportunity, please submit your application in an email message (with attachments) to David, Ryan, and CATL Director, Jennifer Lanter (voelkerd@uwgb.edu, martinr@uwgb.edu, and lanterj@uwgb.edu).  For more, www.uwgb.edu/catl/scholars/.
