In case of rain, Memorial Garden event goes indoors

Just a quick reminder that the planting of the campus Memorial Garden will take place from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday (April 25), at the garden outside the University Union. All students and staff are invited to participate in this third annual event, and flowers and implements will be provided. Chancellor Thomas K. Harden will offer brief remarks, and the names of deceased loved ones will be read aloud in tribute. The planting will be followed by a luncheon, expected to last until 2 p.m. In case of inclement weather — Wednesday’s forecast looks a little dicey — the event will be held in the 1965 Room of the Union.
