Empty Bowls a huge hit
They ran out of soup/chili in under an hour, sold out pretty much their entire stock of handmade ceramic bowls, and raised several thousand dollars to help the hungry through Paul’s Pantry. A spokesperson for the student Art Agency told the LOG on Tuesday that the campus response to the Empty Bowls fundraiser was overwhelming. (For $10, patrons enjoyed lunch donated by several area restaurants, and got to keep the work-of-art ceramic bowls made by faculty ceramist Minkyu Lee and UW-Green Bay art students.) We’ll have a full accounting in a future issue.
