Brown County Library program recalls battle of An Loc

UW-Green Bay’s sizeable contingent of military vets, or those who have an interest in modern history, might be interested in Wednesday’s (April 14) lecture at the Brown County Central Library by retired Lt. Col. James Wilbanks about the 1972 battle of An Loc during the Vietnam War. Some military historians consider the battle during the North Vietnamese Spring Offensive as the most important battle during the Vietnam War. Wilbanks is director of his department and the George C. Marshall Chair of Military History for the U.S. Army’s college at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Wilbanks, the author of The Battle of An Loc, will be speaking at 7 p.m. in the library auditorium.
