Instructors can now log into Canvas (D2L replacement)

Instructors may now log into Canvas, the learning management system which will gradually succeed D2L. Upon logging in, instructors will see “blank” courses. These courses are where instructors may develop their courses for future delivery. These blank courses are not connected to SIS; their purpose is to allow instructors to get everything just right before transferring their materials into the “real” course where students will interact with the material. The blanks are a staging area, but they will also give you a chance to have a look around and develop your course without fear of breaking anything. On the login screen, you will also find information regarding Canvas trainings and how to set up a consultation with a member of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning.
