Sure, the snow is melting, but in areas not plowed after last week’s record snowfall because they were parked end-to-end with student vehicles, those crusty drifts and snow/ice patches are remarkably persistent. That’s why our facilities and parking people have declared a campus emergency for both Tuesday and Wednesday (March 29 and 30). Of special interest to faculty, staff and visitors: On Wednesday, March 30 the entire Studio Arts parking lot will be closed for parking until all snow removal vehicles have left the lot. It’s also worth noting that, on both days, other parking lots will fill up faster. Reminder: There’s a potential $50 Snow Emergency citation in play, so look for signage, barricades and snow-removal crews. Contact Parking with any questions at 465-2301 or parking@uwgb.edu.
