Student Amii John of Oneida will be among those recognized at a ceremony in Madison April 17 as an Outstanding Women of Color in Education. The annual honor is given to students, faculty and staff to recognize their contributions to diversity and the status of women within the UW System, as recognized by the Women’s Studies Consortium and the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. At UW-Green Bay, John has been a multiple award winner at the 37th Annual Juried Student Art Show in fall, and a leader in efforts to mount a Native American art exhibit at the Lawton Gallery next fall.
