Workshop on ‘Planning Your Faculty Career’

All UW-Green Bay faculty are welcome to attend the workshop “Planning Your Faculty Career,” scheduled for 9 a.m. this Friday (March 23) in Wood Hall Room 215. A presentation of about 90 minutes in length will be followed by time for asking questions, forming writing groups, and planning future workshop discussions. Goals include learning the value of philosophy statements to guide teaching, scholarship and service; providing info and guidance to support faculty progress toward tenure and/or promotion; organizing small working groups of faculty to whom group members are accountable for making progress on scholarship, narrative writing, career focus; and shaping further workshop and discussion topics. Future workshops on tenure and promotion are planned for the fall semester. Friday’s event is coordinated by the College of Professional Studies. Contact staff member Anne Buttke at buttkea@uwgb.edu with any questions.
