Residence Life staff, RAs host jewelry sales to fight human trafficking
Staff member Becky Landenberger, on behalf of her RA staff in Residence Life, has taken the lead is organizing a jewelry sale in the University Union this week. All proceeds benefit those affected by human trafficking through an organization called Women At Risk International. Some jewelry is made by survivors of human trafficking, those that are vulnerable or artisans working to fund programs that stop human trafficking. The hours for the remainder of the week are as follows: Tuesday – Noon to 8 p.m. in Phoenix C; Wednesday – 10 a.m. to noon in Phoenix C, and 1 to 8 p.m. at the Community Center’s multi-purpose room (at housing); and Thursday – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Alumni Rooms.
