Attention: Deadline nears for 'Student Employee of the Year'

Supervisors of student employees at UW-Green Bay are advised that time is running out to nominate top performers for the annual Student Employee of the Year competition.

“We want people to honor our hard-working student employees and recognize the valuable service they each provide to our university,” says staff member Diana Delbecchi, who works in the Financial Aid and Student Employment Office.

This year marks the seventh annual awards program. Supervisors are directed to nominate their exceptional employee(s) by accessing the nomination form at http://www.uwgb.edu/financialaid/employment/seoty/seoty_form.asp.

Nominations are due by Wednesday, Feb. 16, and should be sent to Diana Delbecchi in the Student Employment/Financial Aid Office.

In addition to the nomination form, supervisors are asked to submit a brief letter describing your outstanding student worker(s) in the categories of reliability, quality of work, initiative, professionalism, and uniqueness of contribution.  Feel free to cite examples of instances that relate to these categories.  The organizers cannot, however, accept supporting documents that illustrate the action.  Nominations will be ranked by a team of University academic and classified staff, based on the five aforementioned qualities.  The top ranked nomination form will be submitted to the State competition.  From there, the top UW-Green Bay student employee could be nominated to the regional and subsequently, to the national competition.

UW-Green Bay nominees will be recognized, and the top competitor honor, at a ceremony on campus to be held April 11, during Student Employee Appreciation Week.
