St. Norbert President Kunkel to speak Tuesday at Mauthe Center

Our friends at the Mauthe Center on campus are offering a friendly reminder to mark your calendars for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, when the center will kick off its “Tuesdays with Mauthe” program for spring semester 2012. Keynote speaker Thomas Kunkel, president of St. Norbert College, will continue the conversation on “why religions unite us,” and will talk about his own spiritual journey. Kunkel has been the president of St. Norbert College since July 2008. Prior to his appointment at St. Norbert, Kunkel served for eight years as dean of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, one of the nation’s top journalism programs. A writer and editor, Kunkel spent much of his early career in newspaper management, and has worked for The Miami Herald, The New York Times and The Cincinnati Post. Students, faculty and community members are invited to attend this free event, which will include heavy hors d’oeuvres and an opportunity to ask questions. Please RSVP by Monday, Feb. 6 to egarcia@mcenter.org or call the Mauthe Center at (920) 465-5133. For more information on Tuesdays with Mauthe and other center programs, visit www.ecuwgb.org/.
