SBDC at UW-Green Bay to present no-cost first quarter business webinars

The Wisconsin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will present three no-cost webinars during the first quarter of 2015, addressing relevant topics in a 30-minute timeframe ideal for busy professionals.

The first webinar in the 2015 series, titled “How to Keep Stress from Eating You,” will be offered at noon Tuesday, Jan. 20, and again at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22. Presenter Antonia Nelson of Green Bay Myofascial Release Therapy will help participants learn to thrive, succeed and live with joy and happiness. She will speak about pain that often commands attention and serves as a starting point on the journey of inner awareness and outer expression.

February’s webinar, “Secrets to Business Financing Success,” will be offered at noon Tuesday, Feb. 17 and again at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19. Presenter Patrick Kotowski of SLK Finance will teach participants about several alternatives to bank financing, how to value the collateral these alternatives lend against, and how to structure financing that grows along with one’s growing business.

The final first quarter webinar, titled “How to Foster an Innovative and Creative Culture,” will be presented at noon Tuesday, March 17 and again at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 19. Led by Susan Dutton, founder of Smart Relationships, the session will introduce participants to the fundamentals of emotional intelligence (EQ), including what it is, why it is important and how individuals can create a high-EQ culture in their organization.
