Transit of Mercury viewed on Marinette Campus

While the viewing of the transit of Mercury in front of the sun was canceled in Sheboygan due to inclement weather, the Marinette Campus enjoyed clear skies and was able to view the passing of Mercury in front of the sun. Assoc. Prof. Paul Erdman (NAS) set up special viewing equipment for students, staff and faculty to view this occurrence. This type of transit will not occur again until 2032.
