Suicide Awareness & Prevention ASIST Training at UW-Green Bay, Nov. 7-8

Suicide Awareness & Prevention ASIST Training is Nov. 7-8 at UW-Green Bay. This training is free to all UW-Green Bay faculty, staff and students. Join UW-Green Bay aumnus, Mike Crum, from the Center for Suicide Awareness for this two-day training. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—anyone can learn and use the ASIST model.

You will gain knowledge about suicide, skills to reach out to others, and confidence to help save a life. Details: November 7-8, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. University Union, World Unity Rooms. Sponsored by the UW-Green Bay Wellness Committee. To register, email Jen Schanen-Materi, schanenj@uwgb.edu. Space is limited, so register today!
