‘Black Friday’ office hours and institutional closure policy

Consistent with HR 14-17-3 “Office Hours and Instructional Closure Policy”, UW-Greeen Bay Interim Chancellor Sheryl Van Gruensven has authorized the closure of applicable offices, Friday, Nov. 29, 2019 for all UW-Green Bay campuses subject to determination by area leaders. It is at the discretion of area leaders to determine essential and non-essential functions. The provision of essential services on the Manitowoc, Marinette and Sheboygan Campuses will be covered by the Green Bay Campus offices (e.g. GBOSS will function as the office for all campuses).

Employees who choose to work on Nov. 29, 2019 must receive approval from their immediate supervisor and may be subject to reassignment based on institutional needs. Employees who elect to take this day off must submit the absence request through HRS and have sufficient vacation/personal days to be absent on Nov. 29. This closure does not represent an additional holiday.

If your work area is closed on that day, please ensure that appropriate signage is presented not less than seven (7) days prior to the closure, noting the public of the office closure.
