Bob and Carol Bush join Top 50 Most Influential Leaders List

Green Bay Athletics is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year by releasing a list of the “Top 50 Most Influential Leaders in Green Bay Athletics History.” A new addition is added every week throughout the academic year. On Sept. 27, 2019, Athletics announced the addition of Bob and Carol Bush to the already prestigious list of leaders.

Having been tremendous supporters of the athletics program since the 1980’s, Bob and Carol Bush are well deserving of this honor. Carol led efforts in the early days of Green Bay women’s basketball to raise funds for scholarships, and her and Bob’s vision of creating a new facility ultimately led to the building of the Kress Events Center, which features Carol’s name on the court. In 1996, Bob led a task force for the “Commission on Athletics,” bringing together business leaders in the community to examine department finances. This was a critical endeavor in solidifying Green Bay Athletics Division I status.
